The philosophical works of Plato are much quoted and still revered today
We may think his work is outdated, but it actually has a lot of value for us today
because he deals with the fundamental questions about life, the questions that are rooted in our soul. Today we still search for wisdom and answers about the purpose of life, just as seekers did over 2000 years ago.
In this talk we invite you to ponder Plato’s timeless wisdom and find a new understanding of the great possibilities that slumber in our soul.
Among other things we will touch on his famous allegory of the cave, and the lesser known story about the unrecognizable, mutilated sea-god Glaucus who has the possibility to rise up again to his former glory. These metaphors speak directly to our current reality and indicate the potential for a totally new reality that we all carry deep in our soul.
In all his works Plato reminds us about our true calling as human beings: the inner reversal that is needed in order to focus on the divine in our heart, and the transformation of our I-centered consciousness into a new consciousness that is focused on the divine. It is the transformation of our soul and the opening up to a new reality.
