The Universal Wisdom in Aboriginal Dreamings

This study of Aboriginal mythology seeks to give context to the insight the Christian mystic Jan van Rijckenborgh shared on Australia in 1947. Specifically, that “at a very critical moment in world history, the preserved wisdom of the great Australian desert will make an important contribution towards present day mankind recognising his divine vocation.”

Scientists and anthropologists continue to discover scientific, archaeological and ethnobiological treasures in the Australian Outback, discoveries that push the origins of Aboriginal culture further and further back into pre-history. However, they could discover nothing more spiritually revolutionary or revelatory than the gnostic golden thread this book demonstrates runs through these Aboriginal Dreamings.

Jan van Rijckenborgh predicted that the discoveries of the wisdom of the Australian desert “will shake the present views of exoteric religion and science to such a degree that this will result in a possible total change in the minds of a large number of people in relation to the life mysteries of world and mankind.” Indeed, the author proposes that the Spiritual connection Aboriginal people to this land is inseparable from the true spiritual revelation that is integral to the destiny of all humankind, and the path humanity must follow for the sake of all creation.
